Love yoga, love Christ? You’ll love this class. This New Christian Yoga and Relaxation class meets every Thursday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. beginning July 5th at The House Christian Church located in Downtown Sacramento (CA) at 1901 Broadway (use the 19th and X Street entrance). The first hour will be devoted to an invigorating and relaxing Christian yoga workout, followed by 15 minutes of relaxation and scripture meditation.
The Weekly Christian Yoga class on Thursday evenings is coed and will be based on Biblical scriptures and inspirational messages . Cost for the weekly class is only $2.00 and childcare will be provided at a cost of $2.00.
About Instructor: Rhonda Jones is a former PraiseMoves (The Christian Alternative to Yoga) instructor who has taught Christ-center yoga for the past 3 years. Christian Meditation is a practice used to quiet our minds and become intently focused on one intention- to know God. Christian Meditation ushers us into a state of “Being” and Oneness with Christ. Meditation is when we listen to God. It is when we connect to God in Spirit and in Truth.
Each day will include guided group meditation, workshops, holy yoga, spiritual journaling, meditation walks, meditation art, and spiritual disciplines to deepen your faith and show you how to go within, instead of looking to the external sources for your peace, joy, and contentment. Jesus said, “That the kingdom of God is within you,” and that “You will find me when you search for me with all your heart.”
There will also be plenty of free time to explore the area, take an excursion, and participate in the retreats activities and amenities.

Pura Vida Spa is a private, gated, 8-acre mountainside estate in Costa Rica’s Alajuela province. It is only 20 minutes northwest of the SJO International Airport and 45 minutes from downtown San Jose. Located at almost 5,000 feet above sea-level, the year round temperatures at Pura Vida range from 70 to 80 degrees during the day with mild nights in the high 50s to low 60s. Deluxe Vista: The larger of the deluxe rooms offering a duplex or apartment style design well suited for reservations requesting 2 twin beds. They each have a private balcony with stunning views, private bath and coffee maker.
Standard: The Standard Rooms are comfortable, colorful and cozy surrounded by lush gardens. They come equipped with coffee makers and the shared bathrooms are only a few seconds away. This room can have either 1 King or 2 Twins.
Tent-a-lows: Combine the adventure and feel of the outdoors with the amenities of a room. These 12 ‘ x 12 ‘ x 12 ‘ luxury tents have carpeted floors, very comfortable beds (the same as in our other accommodations), electricity, space for your clothes and plenty of fresh mountain air. The shared bathrooms are set in lush gardens, are very attractive, and are conveniently located nearby. 1 King or 2 Twins.
Need a room-mate? Don’t worry, we will match you with another solo meditator from the group.
